We will focus our talk on the major differences between private (independent day and boarding) schools and public schools. What type of students will benefit from private schools? How will college admission offices view applicants from private vs public schools? We will cover the return on investment with private schools and go over the application process to apply to private schools.

1976年，波士顿清华校友会(THAA_Boston)成立。自成立以来，校友会一直致力于服务在波士顿地区学习、工作和生活的清华校友（包括北京清华大学和新竹国立清华大学）。林家翘、李诗颖等著名华人科学家都先后担任过校友会会长。2010年，波士顿清华校友会在美国马萨诸塞州正式注册为非盈利、非宗教、非政治组织。2011年，波士顿清华校友会得到美国联邦政府批准，被认定为符合501(c)(3)免税条款的公共慈善机构(Public Charity)。波士顿地区现有约2000名清华校友， 分布在学术、教育、生物、制药、电子、信息、金融服务、建筑设计、法律服务等多个行业。
